Today we’d like to introduce you to Miranda Lee.
Miranda, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started my journey into esthetics with skincare. I worked at a spa doing facials but found myself getting excited every time I saw a brow wax on my appointment book. After a year, I decided to focus on eyebrows. I worked at a Benefit Cosmetics brow bar alongside Arch Experts who’d already spent years perfecting their craft. It was a great learning experience. As time went on and brow trends changed, I found myself wanting to learn more and expand my service menu. It was then when I decided to branch out on my own.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I was open less than six months when the pandemic hit. It was hard for me to stay afloat. I thought it would be hard to come back after so much time away. When I finally got word that I could see clients again, I was ecstatic. If it wasn’t for my loyal clients, I wouldn’t have made it. They welcomed me back with fluffy brows and an unmeasurable amount of support.
BRW PWR – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
BRW PWR was founded on a lot of girl power and a passion for great brows. I specialize in helping people achieve eyebrows that they can feel confident in. Mapping and measuring is traditionally only done in a microblading service. I decided to take that knowledge into my waxing service as well. My service stands out because I start every brow service with mapping and measuring to make sure every client is getting a brow shape that flatters their face.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I define success by the amount of positivity I’m bringing into the world. I feel successful every time a client walks away happy. Nothing makes me more proud of my business than when I hand a client the mirror post service and get to see the smile on their face. There’s something special in knowing I’m helping people feel good and able to put their best selves forward.
