Today we’d like to introduce you to Aaron Bell Sr.
Aaron, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Hi, I am Aaron Bell Sr. the man behind “That’s “A” Wrap”. My business came to fruition in 2019 when I decided to turn my hobby and passion into a business and help others turn their visions into reality. Rewind way back to the age of 13, back when film was actually loaded inside of cameras, I became fascinated with photography and videography. I received my first digital camera at the age of 17 and at this time I became intrigued with filming videos. Fast forward a few years, and I was always the one who had the camera in people’s faces capturing priceless moments at family gatherings. Now, I’ve decided to make the jump from amateur to professional. Based out of Houston, TX, I specialize in commercial videos, interview videos, music videos and even comedy skits. If you are seeking quality video and a great customer experience from pre-production to final cut, I am here for you and promise to deliver! When I decided to take on filming seriously in 2019 I teamed up with some of Texas most talented videographers and photographers. I have worked alongside photographers like Keydrin Franklin of 924 photography out of Ft. Worth and Q-Shot Ya who is very well-known videographer based out of Houston. On the video side of things, I have worked on many sets and gained experience in multiple facets of the filming process from producing to directing. I have used these skills to dig deeper into the filming world and in 2020 took on such projects like an ad for “Michelob Ultra Beer” and the “The Courtney Hall Show”. I have also filmed multiple comedy skits for social media personalities like “Tio Choko” and “Baffmasta” who are very well known on YouTube and Instagram worldwide. In the last quarter of 2020, we are filming 10 movie shorts for a well-known record label in Houston GMG Records. In March of 2021 I am directing my first full length movie “Turns” which will be submitted to multiple film festivals including Sundance and SxSW.
Has it been a smooth road?
NO! I came to realize people don’t see your vision or share the same passion you have for certain goals you have set. You can’t seek out support or validation from people, you just have to put your head down and run full steam ahead and eventually they will see things the way you do. The next hurdle has been time time time! It is difficult balancing family life and work at times due to the nature of filming. I have 3 wonderful children who I love dearly and at times filming can take me away from them at times and it Is hard. I know at the end of the day my time away from them will pay off in due time. My two oldest Aaron Bell Jr. 10 and Alyssia Bell 10 have both shown an interest in photography and filming. So, I have included them in a ton of my projects, they can be found on location with me behind the camera learning the ropes and maybe in the future you will see their names scrolling in the credits of some major Hollywood feature film! My youngest Madison is only 10 months, so we have to wait a bit to see if she gets bit by the filming bug.
We’d love to hear more about your work

I like the vast diversity of this city! You have a every culture here and that allows for great diversity. That diversity brings all kinds of clients that hire us for different projects and allows us to learn from them and experience new things that we probably would not have been introduced to otherwise. What I don’t like about this city is easy and that is TRAFFIC!
