Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Edwards.
Jessica, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I was the most imaginative child around my time. No idea was ever too grand or unrealistic to me. At the tender age of five or six, I grasped the truth about my life. I knew at that age I would have multiple occupations. No-one ever told me that I would, however; it was something I always knew. As a child I remember saying in this order, “A famous singer, actress, model, dancer, clothing designer, and famous dance choreographer!”, when asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. It was normal. I never aspired to a single profession, rather an experience. I knew that I possessed a grace upon my life to not just do much, but touch many along the way. I also learned early on that life was no cute, cookie-cutter walk, but a journey that would have it’s up and down’s to build me, groom me, and mold me more into who this world needed me to be. Upon graduating high school, I auditioned for American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) and received my acceptance packet. Not only did I get accepted, but my audition granted me over $48,000 in scholarships. However, that was not enough. That year, my family lost our house, and I felt the very dream that I dedicated my entire life to had come to an end. To make a long story short, my desire shifted from wanting to become famous to making God famous.
Although I was taught the traditions of church as a child, it was not until I left home and began my collegiate career that I realized in order to make the only true and living God known, I needed to have an intimate and very personal relationship with Him to learn who He is and who I really am. I began being intentional about my calling towards global impact during my college years. I began my collegiate career at Troy University. There I founded a college ministry. The Revival was a student-led worship ministry that caters to mental health awareness, suicide prevention, and corporate prayer and worship. I also began blogging around this time. The blog is entitled “Created”, and its platform speaks to amalgamating cultural diversity, mental health, and the holy spirit to produce whole and complete leaders in families, communities, organizations, and societies around the world. From “Created” came The “Created Worthy” Movement which is a women empowerment community whose mission is to redefine identities to mirror God’s worthiness, empower women towards activated faith, and establish new social norms within our communities.
The goal is to build faith-filled businesswomen around the world. This movement began as a text alert but now expands over three major social media platforms. Upon losing my job this year, I decided to step out on faith and launch Jessica Annelle Elite Writing Services. We specialize in creative and professional writing. We offer sixteen plus services that include Ebook editing, Elite Clarity Calls, EliteBook Strategy and Development, Elite Worship Restoration and more. Jessica Annelle Elite Global was founded this year as well and serves as the holding entity of all projects. Jessica Annelle Elite Global dedicates our platform to teaching the world how to operate like the Kingdom of God.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has definitely not been a smooth road at all, and it still is not. I struggle daily with feeling inadequate or what I have to offer will not reach my desired audience. Having such grand dreams is a sacrifice in every way, especially financially and socially, but I know that it will all pay off soon. I am not a business major, nor do I have a business background, but every day my business mindset grows. Other challenges include resources and finding investors and trusted donors but being self-motivated easily provides a triumphant outcome in trusting the process along the way.
Please tell us more about your story.
I am learning that you are the CEO of your brand which is YOUR LIFE. Yes! Your story is who you are, and your brand is your life, so, what don’t I do? I want to provide so many resources for others to utilize. The goal is to exhaust all gifts, skills, and strengths, and that is what sets Jessica Annelle Elite Global apart from everyone. We pride ourselves in Customer Service and transparent leading. How you treat people is more important than the product or service rendered. My company is something I have never seen before, so I can only imagine how others who have the opportunity to witness it feels.
Again, Jessica Annelle Elite Global offers various projects under its umbrella. With it being such a diverse and unique company, many people will be able to benefit from my services. Created is a resource that provides devotionals, prayer, community, holistic health tips, and more. The “Created Worthy” Movement offers a community for women, conferences, encouragement, and more. Jessica Annelle Elite Writing Services offer Elite Custom Writing, Elite Blog Building, Elite Writing Lessons, Elite Mentoring, Elite Biographies, Elite Songwriting, Elite Songwriting Assistance, Elite Editing, Elite Script Development, Elite Tutoring, and so much more. Also, I personally offer motivational speaking engagements for conferences, forums, ministry purposes, and entertainment events.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Seeing how I am just getting started, or so I feel, I would not do anything differently. I view the past as part of the entire story, so changing anything would produce another outcome, and I believe that where I am is where I should be. I want to tell anyone who is desiring to start, re-start, or need motivation concerning their life or business: Only see opportunity. I know that requires a complete shift in your mindset, especially during storms and struggles, but seeing everything as an opportunity will help you grow, connect with others, and focus on the reality of your life, which is, “You will make it.” When you do not know what to do, that is an opportunity to rest, wait, and prepare. When you lose, that is an opportunity to gain something greater. When someone leaves, that is an opportunity for others to come. If you get hurt by those you trusted within your personal life or within your business, that is an opportunity to heal with wisdom and continue on with good faith. There is literally nothing but opportunity around once you change your mindset. I mean, really, take this moment to briefly think about an obstacle that you were so certain you would not make it out of, but you did. Or maybe, you are still experiencing a storm. You thought you would not survive, but you are still here. The proof is that you are reading this article today. I pray for those of you who are wanting to give up or need help believing the truth during this time. I declare that as you focus more on your opportunities, you will begin to attract genuine people, and that you will begin to possess a peace that surpasses all understanding, and a love for your life to make the most out of every moment, that you rest in the truth that all things shall work for your good according to your faith in the power that Holy Spirit has left inside of you. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
