Meet Blakely Dedinsky of Serenity Studio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Blakely Dedinsky.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Blakely. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I’ve always wanted to do bodywork. After a spa day with my mother at 13 years old, I was obsessed with the honest and raw abilities massage therapists have to heal and aid in repairs.

At the age of 18, I joined the United States Coast Guard and participated in Search and rescue, and drug interdiction in the South Pacific Ocean. However, I still had a passion for massage. I became a veteran in 2009, and started my path in massage. With many moves and many life changes, my passion got put on the back burner.

In 2014, I finally decided it was my time, so I enrolled at Heritage Institute in Jacksonville, Florida. After almost 2 years of intense studying, I had my license and moved home to Gainesville, Texas, where I decided to open up my office. As nerve-racking as it was to make the jump, I knew I had to. It was my dream. So, November 1st, 2016, Serenity Studio was born, and it has been the most amazing blessing as well as the wildest ride.

Has it been a smooth road?
Smooth road, no. But if it were easy, growth would never happen. At first, I started with 5 people, and just remember going to bed each night praying for just one more client…. there were busy days as well as empty ones, but they always say the first year is the hardest, right?

Today, I am keeping a pretty full schedule. It’s definitely hard on a body sometimes, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.

Business is good and continues to grow every day.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
At Serenity Studio, I offer customized bodywork. I perform the basic Swedish massage, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, reflexology, fire cupping, lymphatic drainage, prenatal, all the way to cellulite treatments.

I am different because I don’t itemize an A la carte menu with a vast array of prices. I simply charge by the time increments and tailor your massage to your needs. I also am available 6 days a week. It’s hard to find a local therapist in this area open on a weekend… and let’s be honest…. that’s when people need it most.

I am incredibly proud and honored to be here and open to help the surrounding communities. It’s been a long road, but everything happens when it’s supposed to and I couldn’t thank my clients enough for trusting me with their bodies, and for the sheer loyalty they show me daily.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Honestly, if you would have asked me this a year ago, my answer would probably have been no. But looking at this geographical location, I’m right in the middle of what’s been called The Horse Capital of the World. And admittedly, most of my clients are trainers, reigners, and rodeo-ers. With all the wear and tear their careers put on their bodies, my table stays pretty booked.

Blakely is the best at what she does. Ive been seeing her on a monthly basis for over a year, as well as a few extras in between. I love the way she listens to me in regards to my many issues. When my time is up, I feel 110% better! I hope she never gives up on what she’s doing, because I don’t think she can be replaced.
