Elyse, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Giving back, being useful, helping others, cooking, caring for friends and family are my favorite things. I realized I wanted a healthy, cost effective, reusable food pouch that I could give to friends and family, sell to people for a really great price, and be able to feed my daughter great food that I made her, and from that concept, a company was born!
The research began to make my dream a reality, and it turns out the process was way longer than I thought and 1,000 times more frustrating. To me, it seemed simple, but apparently retooling a manufacturing line to make something that I could see clearly in my head wasn’t as cost-effective, fast or desirable to companies as I thought! However, perseverance won the day and we found a manufacturer, began sales, filed the patent and 5 years later have created another brand new product – The Divvier, a divided, silicon insert lets you cook/warm two things at once without them touching!
Creating new products and bringing them into the marketplace is not for the faint of heart, but it is a fun and challenging process I never dreamed I’d be involved in – not once but now twice with a big, unknown future ahead!
Has it been a smooth road?
The hardest part of the process is the actual creation. Creating something that has never been made before and has no blueprints takes a whole lot of trial and error to get it right. It requires the ability to be repeatedly knocked down, disappointed and frustrated and then pick yourself up, regroup and go at it again until you get it done!
Having an idea is really fun, but getting that idea into a physical model, finding a manufacturer and selling the idea is a uphill battle; but once you have made it to the top of the hill and get to hold your idea in your hand, as well as seeing how it makes lives better – it is an amazing feeling!

Nourish with Style was born with the idea of selling reusable baby food pouches that are cute and affordable, and recently added a new product, The Divvier.
We are changing the idea of Nourish with Style a little bit into more of a sales platform offering ways to make your food preparation experience easier and more efficient.
We are proud to offer new ideas at an affordable price. We are different from other companies because our products didn’t exist before we created them. Reusable food pouches are everywhere now – but we helped start that whole industry and we are excited to see where the Divvier goes.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
The Dallas Fort Worth metroplex is an amazing and diverse area that creates a strong business environment, with world-class entertainment and dining. Once construction is finished on the highway systems, the sky will be the limit! Outside of mountain hiking/skiing – this area truly has something for everyone.
