Today we’d like to introduce you to Layla Issa.

Hi Layla, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Initially started off as ooh la locks, which was a hair storefront my sister opened in the deep oak cliff (Glenndale shopping center) in 2014 closed in 2016 bc she lost vendor but shop remained open for services like a stylist. Then I decided to start back selling hair with my sister in 2017, found new vendors traveled to China business was going good opened up a new storefront in the Duncanville Dallas area in 2018 and have been serving the best quality hair in Dallas with the best prices and customer service. Opened up an additional storefront in Arlington in 2019 and getting ready to expand to Atlanta this year.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been 100% smooth we have lost vendors, people come and go who work in the salon we have been burglarized and through a pandemic but we have blessed and still in business, all thanks to God.
