Conversations with Sierra Coleman

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sierra Coleman.

Hi Sierra, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Well, I’m originally from Baltimore, MD. I started my journey as a lost soul exploring the world. I experimented with drugs, gangs, same-sex relationships and crime. At one point in my life, I felt the need to change my identity. I wanted to become “the man” in my lesbian relationships. I began by taking testosterone supplements which led me to strapping my breasts down so that I would appear to be more masculine. I was unhappy with how I was originally created so I figured that I would do what I wanted. I began to embark on a numerous amount of drugs that pushed me to go to a rehab facility. My path of bad choices actually worked out for my good in the end.

All of my experiences from drug abuse, homosexuality, jail etc. is what God allowed me to go through just so that I could help others. During my journey, I could feel God calling me through all of the noise of life. I remember going to a church service and realizing that I was missing something. It was God. I made a vow that if He delivered me from my struggles, I would then in turn dedicate my life to Him and to helping others that He sent my way. Just that one yes to God allowed me to get to know Him in a deeper way. Which is when God revealed to me that He was calling me to preach the Gospel as a leader in the kingdom of God. I quickly answered the call upon my life and now I lead others who are in dark places into the light of Christ. Today, I have my own ministry where I help develop and stir up the gifts of God in other people. God uses me in ways that I have never imagined and I am confident that anyone who crosses my path will be encouraged to know that if God did it for me, He can for you as well!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, absolutely not! The road has been very challenging and bumpy simply because there is always resistance when a person decides that they want to live for Jesus Christ. At the end of the day, we have to remember that even Jesus suffered and had to endure different things, so it’s expected for us as believers. Some struggles that I’ve faced personally was when I decided that I no longer wanted to be a “stud.” The biggest problem with this were the people who didn’t understand why I wanted to change in the first place. I ended losing a lot of people that I loved, all due to the fact that I began to believe in what the Bible says about homosexuality. This was a struggle for me, but with prayer and submission to the word of God, I overcame it.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a preacher of the Gospel. I teach the word of God, I pray for people, and I lead people to Jesus Christ. I specialize in the deliverance ministry and the prophetic ministry. I am known for encouragement and perseverance. I push people to get where they need to be! Life is about purpose and I help others to develop what their mission is on this earth. I am most proud of the fact that I have already overcame so much. What sets me apart is my determination to make it no matter what comes my way!

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
I am power and strength through Jesus Christ, who motivates me to go higher!
