Today we’d like to introduce you to Haylee Purdy.
Hi Haylee, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Straight out of cosmetology school, I knew I wanted to be a part of the wedding industry. Luckily I found Maitee Miles, an elite Dallas hair and makeup artist, who let me jump right in and assist her. Almost nine years later and I’m so thankful to still be part of her team and doing my own weddings for brides and their bridal parties. I look forward to every weekend and love what I do!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
In this industry, there is always room for growth and trends are forever changing. I love that there is always something new to learn. I am lucky to work with a team of such professionals. We all work together well with the same goal of not only making our bridal parties look beautiful but keeping them on time and happy with their whole experience.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I specialize in hair and makeup for brides, but also their entire bridal parties. Besides our artistry, our ability to do any large group with ease and keeping the bridal party on time is what really sets us apart. The dedication we have for our brides and their day is unmatched. I would say our signature style is the ability to create a natural glam for our brides. A common phrase I hear is “I still want to look like myself, but the best version of myself,” which is exactly what I aim to execute!
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
With all the change 2020 has brought, I expect to see more elopements and smaller intimate weddings being a trend. I wouldn’t mind traveling for some amazing elopement destinations!
