Von1y, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Growing up, I always had a knack for music, but it was always something that I was always surrounded by. Since I was around six years old, I always had an mp3 or ipod with me up until today. However, It wasn’t until 2018 that I started to really take music seriously. In the times before that, I was laser-focused on sports and only saw music as a fuel for my original passion, which is sports. In an unfortunate turn of events, I did not get a scholarship to continue sports through college, hence my passion for music began.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Most definitely not, some of the struggles that come with music and anything for that matter come with people who don’t do everything they promise. I’d say the hardest thing I’ve accomplished was finding a group of hard-working individuals with goals similar to mine. Next in line would be becoming a recording engineer, which I forced myself to do. I had a great producer behind me but with an unfortunate turn of events, one of his clients lost their life to covid-19 so he ceased all operations for a year. So I had to figure out how to record myself at a professional level and that took over four months of consistent trial and tribulation.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I feel I specialize in making people feel good about being alone and giving them pointers on empowering themselves as individuals. I am known for always helping others and being funny. I am most proud of making my first 100$ from doing something I love via mixtape sales. What sets me apart from others is my ability to overcome and adapt to different situations.
What matters most to you? Why?
Being able to inspire others to be the greatest version of themselves, I just wanna see everyone win.
