Today we’d like to introduce you to LaQuasha Carpenter.
LaQuasha, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started my business in 2019. My idea came from a dream I had, so I decided to come up with a clothing brand. Aliens, which is my logo, came from me loving aliens and being interested in them. I chose geeked because I use that word when I express myself. Anybody can be geeked it’s a form of expression. I’m a mommy full time and I’m also businesswoman and entrepreneur full time. I also host events and give people opportunities to promote their business. I love helping people and I’m always doing things in my community. I’m also pursuing my dream to become a DJ so I will be booking events by beginning of next year.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has had some ups and downs for sure. Starting out it was hard for me because I didn’t really have any money or support so I was starting from the bottom. I started with one shirt design and a bodysuit lol. I struggled getting people to help me and I lost so much money trying to get my business started.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I look at myself as being very creative. My mind is always working. I’m proud of my accomplishments, I have helped so many people and that makes me feel good. What set me apart from a lot of people is that I’m a very genuine person and I do what I do not only for myself but for everyone. I believe it starts with us within to make a difference in others and this world.
