Life & Work with K Swoon

Today we’d like to introduce you to K Swoon.

Hi K Swoon, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I was born in Irving, TX on December 4, 2000. I’ve always loved music since a young age and even began making beats around 3rd grade while also recording my first song over my own beat. However, basketball was always my first love, and I played all the way up to my senior year of high school. Due to complications with the coach, the love I had for music only became stronger and made me take the craft more seriously. I began using music as an outlet to escape my problems and to relate to others who may be going through a struggle or need that extra push to help them succeed.

Although I haven’t gained the biggest fan base, I’ve been creating a buzz in my area and building my social media presence!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
In my opinion, it’s very intense at times. Sometimes I go through writer’s block, which can be the most annoying thing when being in the studio. I feel like I can speak for every artist when saying the hardest part to deal with is just simply trying to get your music heard. It’s always hard doing the promotion side of things and being the artist as well, but this profession is the only one for me.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’d say that my music has no set genre. However, I love doing both hip hop and HyperPop styles of music. I’m mostly known for my melodies in my opinion. I believe what sets me apart from other artists is my ability to actually sing and rap. I’m a very melodic rapper love to show my versatility in each song I record. I want to show people that I’m more than just a Hip Hop artist or just a singer. I’m very proud of myself for sticking to the grind and staying patient until I found the sound I feel is best for me. Not quitting is the best option, and continuing to grow as an artist is the only thing to do.

What are your plans for the future?
I’d love to open businesses, get into real estate, and just help our community be a safer place. Since I skipped college completely, I plan on going to the top in my profession and showing others that there is a way out, and to not give up on their dreams. I want to make a change in the industry and be able to create hits in any genre. I will begin doing shows outside my state and travel to meet lots of new artists and all the people who support my music! One day, I hope to expand my music nationwide, and be able to help those in need, and take care of everyone that continues to push me everyday.
