Today we’d like to introduce you to Elizabeth Escobedo.
Hi Elizabeth, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Thank you for this space to share my story. Since I was a little girl I always knew I wanted to be my own my boss I just never had it clear to what it would be. After having my kid and taking some time off work, I decided I was ready to go back into the work field. I had difficulty finding a 9-5 and was getting a bit discouraged. It was then that my husband said I think it is time for you to work on your goals. After the purchase of our home, I grew interest in Real Estate. I met with a professional in the field who encouraged me, and I decided to go to school and get my license! In a short period of time, I got my license and passed my exams on the first try! I was so happy and relieved! When I started my real estate business, COVID had just started. It was a bit nerve wrecking starting a business in the middle of a pandemic! For a moment, everything was basically cancelled, and then we started doing everything over zoom. Not the way I quite envisioned things. However, I did not let that discourage me and took the time to learn as much as I could and let people know I was doing real estate.
In less than three months, I had my first sale! Everyone would tell me the usual agent takes about six months to a year to make their first sale, but I was determined to do it soon! I’m not going to lie, I was afraid of it all. However, I did not let my fear overcome me. I made sure to have the proper support to help me through my first transaction. I’m so grateful for my mentor Samantha Willey who has been of great support. Also, God placed an amazing angel by the name of Sonia Vazquez a realtor as well, who helped mentor me since the day she met me. I am so thankful for all her help and genuine support. It’s rare to meet someone else who does the same as you and not treat you as competition. She was truly an angel that gained her wings to heaven so soon. She will always hold a special place in my heart. This woman inspired me to be the best that I can be! My ultimate goal is to help people accomplish their dreams of homeownership! I am a strong believer in Christ and I know that my purpose is to help others through faith and the right resources find their home! I recently celebrated my one year anniversary as a Real Estate Agent, and I am thankful for the families who have allowed me to serve them and extremely excited to meet the ones who are to come.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It was definitely not a smooth road. Opening your business during a pandemic is pretty scary. You have to have a determined mindset. Build a game plan and work your best at it. The Real Estate Market has been on fire, as most of you know. It’s all over social media. I truly believe that in a way it has benefited me because we are all as agents on the same boat as well trying to keep up with today’s current market.

There’s plenty of agents to choose from however, if you’re looking for someone who will be transparent, knowledgeable of the market and make you feel like family? Then I’m your girl! My priority is my client’s interests. I love to get to know you. First, it gives me a better idea of what it is that you’re really looking for. Communication is key to me! And getting the job done with as much stress-free transaction possible for you is my goal! And building an amazing long-lasting relationship.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
A quality I have is that I love to listen to my client’s needs. It has been one of my greatest factors into finding them something quick and exactly what the client is looking for.
