Today we’d like to introduce you to Tamara Geter.
Hi Tamara, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My name is Tamara Geter! My husband is Chris Geter! And we are definitely the COOLEST COUPLE and we are three-time Business owners! We started making custom baskets/shirts in 2014 as hobby! We started this in our living room! It all started with me just being the crafty mom and making things for my boys school. The teachers were falling in love with everything.that I made and said, “You should sell this stuff” I started making baskets out my home for all occasions, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, birthdays etc. As our at home business continued to grow through social media and word of mouth, We made it official in 2015!
In 2016 my husband wanted to start a cleaning business. So we geared up and introduced LET US DO IT 4 U cleaning! We are up to many contracts! My husband also in that same year, wanted to start his own clothing line. When pouring out his vision and his heart, he wanted to leave our children more than just debt and money but a legacy! We both said, “ That’s COOL,” and their was COOL Apparel Stands for “ Creating Our Own Legacy”! We want everyone, especially our culture, to join this movement and get COOL and begin leaving and teaching our children about legacies! We opened our shop in Garland, TX in 2019! We have hats, hoodies, shirts, shorts, bags, cups and more! We also have custom cool shirts where we cater to our customers for any custom shirts for their companies or birthday parties etc. We are so blessed that not one but all three business are doing great and expanding even in the mist of a pandemic!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road! But with greatness comes a little pain! At times we have suffered a lot of loss, and no gain! We never lost sight of our goal, We never lost faith! The key to success to us is ACTION! Take action on what you believe, never give up, and even when it is tough KEEP GOING! The delay was never a deny for what God had and has in store for us!

We have our COOL clothing line with hats, shirts, hoodies, bags, cups etc. we also create custom apparel as well! We are well known in our community for our creative designing and COOL approach! It’s a blessing when we went from making five shirts to making 50 to making 200 in one order! We have grown tremendously since we started! We are so blessed and thankful to each and every person that has not only supported us but continues to support us!
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite memory is when I was sitting on the porch with my grandmother I was about 9 or 10 and I saw her rocking wig, her eyes closed and smiling and I would ask, “Granny, what you smiling at?” And she would respond, I’m talking with God and listening for his word! She taught me then that being still and listening and waiting for God was the most important thing in life before anything else!
