Life & Work with Sandra Moreno

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sandra Moreno.

Hi Sandra, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
After dealing with some adversity, I decided to start taking myself and my career into higher priority. I saw a great opportunity/challenge in real estate, so I signed myself up for a real estate course. From very early on, I had my eyes set to work with Rogers Healy and Associates (RHA). Coming from a younger generation, I saw the power of RHA’s brand and loved their modernized approach to real estate. Fortunately, the day after receiving my license I was able to snag an interview with Rogers and join the brokerage. Their support and guidance was essential in the trajectory of my career. Not only did I receive the right training but I felt encouraged to be confident young woman in this industry.

I started out with open houses and assisting other agents whenever I could. In the first months in real estate, I had gained the most traction with leases among friends. Eventually with time, renters turn into buyers and I was able to assist in the purchase of their first homes!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
As most know, this year in Real Estate has been the most competitive in DFW yet. Competing against 20-30 offers over asking price and repetitively getting hopes up on homes only to get rejected, can be discouraging. As a real estate agent, it only means we have to be more prepared than ever before. Rather than waiting to show a home on the weekend, showings are overflowing the same day a home goes on the market. Offers need to be more complete and persuasive than ever. All along while maintaining a calm and positive mindset for both yourself and the client has been the biggest challenge I continue to work on.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I specialize in people! Whether it be locating an apartment, buying a house, searching for a plot of land or looking for a commercial investment, I help clients navigate their journey through real estate. Working on a personal level, allows me to be an advocate for my clients and narrow down the best option for them.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
What has helped me the most and made me feel more secure as a Realtor is being myself. Coming into this job, I believed I had to fit a certain mold at all time. But my biggest supporters ended up being the people I already knew or met outside of the work environment. While spending genuine time with people, I am able to prove my work ethic and genuine interest in helping them find what they are looking for.
