Meet Sarah Stone

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Stone.

Hi Sarah, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started my food Instagram when I was in my senior year in college at Xavier University! It was in January and I really felt inspired to do something exciting for the New Year. Little did I know how much my Instagram would have grown! I have had the opportunity to meet fellow foodies across DFW, visit INCREDIBLE restaurants and meet such inspiring business owners. I feel truly thankful for all of the awesome people that I have met!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road for me, which is okay! There were times that I felt stagnant in my food Instagram and I felt as though I wasn’t posting the content that I knew I was capable of. After about a year and a half of having my Instagram, I really poured a lot of time and effort into my page! I wanted to provide quality content with delicious foods that people would like to try! Thankfully, it has paid off! I have had the opportunity to collaborate with some spectacular people and businesses.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am an analyst with an insurance company. I have the opportunity to work with customers and help them in their times of need. In my full time job, I feel lucky to work alongside such hard workers! One thing that I am told at work is that I am VERY organized. I literally organize almost EVERYTHING! It helps me stay on top of tasks! This also translates over my to food Instagram when I meet with restaurants and fellow food bloggers!! Aside from my insurance job, I spend the remainder of my time focusing on my food Instagram!

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
Oh my goodness!!! So many awesome childhood memories. Honestly, the one that sticks out to me the most was when I was five years old and I went to Disney Land. I was OBSESSED with the ride “It’s a Small World.” My dad rode on that ride with me back to back like six times! Afterwards we got sourdough bread in the shape of Mickey Mouse. That is a memory that I will never forget.
