Today we’d like to introduce you to Matthew Perez.
Hi Matthew, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hey, y’all! My name is Matthew Perez born & Raised in NTX area. I am 30 years old and the Top Notch Realtor providing value all over DFW.
At the end of 2019, a coworker of mine asked me, “Matt, what’s your life purpose?”. As I stared into the computer screen, it dawned on me that I did not know my true life purpose other than the typical be a great providing husband and a super dad to my children. So I wrote “what’s your life purpose” on a sticky note and put it on my computer screen to look at every day while at my 9-5 work make another person company better and better job.
Then COVID hit, we all went into hiding. After the first three months of being in lock down mode, I realized what my life purpose was and has been all along. Since a youth, I have had the natural ability to empower and inspire people around me to be better, whether that be the style of clothing, sports, financially, mentally, or physically. It also dawned on me that I loved to help me. Help people grow, progress, and make a difference in their lives. I was always financially savvy. Hence my background in financial, statistical forecasting, but I wanted to help people build wealth. The most common way Americans enter into wealth building is by owning a piece of real estate.
I bought my first home when I was 24 years old. It was stressful, scary, and very confusing. I did not have any help. The wife and I saved up for a coupon year and bought our first house. I told myself I could Empower and Inspire people to become successful homeowners. To help people start to build generational wealth. I got gazelle intense.
Mid-June 2021, I enrolled into the Real Estate courses and within 3-4 weeks, I was already scheduled to take my Real Estate exam to become a licensed Texas Real Estate Agent. By the end of July, I was licensed and already was working three clients. My goal was to help 12 families buy/sell/invest in a home within my first year. I have beat my goal by 100%.
I told myself I want to change the stigma most people have on Realtors. I want to make the home buying and selling process as seamless and stress-free as possible as this transaction is one of the if not the only biggest transactions one will make in their lifetime. To educated the client end to end to become the successful homeowner they deserve to be.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it has not been smooth. I have self-generated all of the families I’ve helped this far. Everyone’s situation is unique, and this is why it is so interesting and fun for me. It’s like a new puzzle every time, and I get to put the pieces to their puzzle together and get them a badass deal or sell their home for top dollar in the end.

I am a Top-Notch Realtor serving all of DFW. My brand @Realtor.Perez on all social media platforms, which shows my day-to-day business and lifestyle, help clients engage with me, which makes them feel like they know me before we meet in person for me to help them buy/sell/invest in real estate.
Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My grandfather told me at age five, “A dollar in your pocket is a friend in your pocket, choose wisely how you invest your time, money, & relationships.”
