Meet Queava Chaisson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Queava Chaisson.

Hi Queava, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I grew up in Los Angeles, California. It was there I started gaining weight. I can remember always bring the fat girl in school. I loved sweets, well junk food chips, cookies, etc. Every year I got bigger and bigger. Once I left high school and started having kids, I got up to almost 400 pounds. My life was miserable, clothes never fitted correctly, and I was always sick swollen feet, had high blood pressure, and borderline diabetic. I got tired of it, so I decided to give exercise a try. I didn’t like it at first but then my clothes started to fit differently and I just started thinking different. Before I knew it, I was down to 165 pounds. Then I started drinking Herbalife and u really felt like never ever before just felt thin and hood about myself. Excercise became a part of my life. Now I’ve gone completely vegan and you feel better than before.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Being a mother of five, it was really rough at first cause my kids didn’t like to eat what I liked, so I would have to cook two different meals. That was a big struggle.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m currently two months away from receiving my cosmetology liscence! I’m a Health and wellness coach thru Tony Gaskins Academy. I also just started up. Women’s support group called Side Chicks, it’s just an open discussion that some may feel uncomfortable talking about in front of others. Everyone needs a Side Chick to call or lean on in that time of need!! I just opened my first office; I also do small group workouts to help others that may be struggling in the areas I was. I also counsel young women who may be experiencing hard times in life. I do anything from domestic violence to depression. My lifelong dream is to travel the world to let women know they are not alone. I’ve been there and I’m here to help, if I can do it so can you.

How do you think about luck?
I’ve had all good luck! God has really blessed me to meet some awesome people along this journey of healing!
