Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Crabtree. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Hi Jasmine, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started my journey in South Dallas, Oak Cliff, to be exact, raised in a single-parent household, I was always in survival mode. It’s what I knew best. One of the many turning points that helped me realize it was time to make a change was when I encountered a medical condition called endometriosis, which was first acknowledged at age 16.
Fast forward to my college years, it started to happen more often, and I was exhausted mentally, physically and emotionally. I decided to take action and make a change for the betterment of my health. I conducted research through books, documentaries, the internet, etc. on how I could obtain a plant-based lifestyle, learning this is not only better for me as a being but also better for the earth. I was enlightened and am still learning on this health journey. I didn’t want to do it alone so I started a YouTube Channel (Jasmine Crabtree) so I could take people on this #Voyage with me. Shortly after I created and published my own Vegan Cookbook called (Hangry Vegan). I was introduced to juicing during my research and fell in love with the experience of juicing. I received my first juicer as a gift from a friend (Allie), I juiced for about a year, perfecting recipes, methodologies, sanitations practices, and had the idea to start my own business (High Standards Juice Bar).
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
One of my biggest struggles was not being able to accept what is. This caused me to mentally live and dwell in the past as well as live and hope for a better future, resulting in me creating a negative environment for myself. I’ve grown to learn that essentially I was holding myself back. I was ignoring the present moment, which is all I ever had. Now knowing that my road in life is more smooth as I continue to do the work within.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
High Standards Juice Bar was established in March 2020. This brand was created by an ambitious woman who wanted to empower the world. She believed that everyone should go after what they truly want in life. Since juicing was one of the things that she was always eager to do, she decided why not cater to others and bring the experience of health in a whole new way with whole new standards. In discovering High Standards Juice Bar, the owner decided she wanted to help uplift, motivate, and inspire others to always have HIGH STANDARDS and never compromise on their quality of life.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I definitely have more work to do and plan on implementing changes with High Standards Juice Bar in the next few years to come. One of the changes in the works is to offer more products and venture out to discover new talents that will help grow our brand. One of those first steps would be to become a distributor to local grocery stores and coffee shops.
