Today we’d like to introduce you to Britney Hernandez.
Hi Britney, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started lashing in March 2020, when the pandemic first started. I was laid off from my job and had little to no income coming in. I would sit at home for hours and hours just practicing my techniques and different styles. I started at home just practicing on a couple of friends. I later then started taking actual clients for low prices. Towards the end of 2020, I had regular clients daily! May 2021, I then moved into my first shop and I started offering 101 training classes. I have been lashing for a year and six months now and all I can say is I love and enjoy every bit of it, I plan on offering new services such as facials and waxing towards the end of this year!!
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has not been easy, I have come across a lot of things throughout the career that has molded me into the new person I am. A lot of relationships and friendships have been broken along the way, which has been the hardest part for me, but it has taught me to be more independent and has grown me into the business women I am today.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Blessedbybritney is my lash business name! I created this name just having fun, and it stuck with me. I provide lash extensions (classic, hybrid, volume, & mega volume) I offer 101 classes as well. I am very much known for my volume lash sets. It’s the most common set my clients will chose. my services are very unique I freestyle most of my sets to fit my client unless a client wants a specific look
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Being a listening ear – a lot of times, clients will come in and vent to me. I love being able to be the person they can come to talk to during their appointments and just have someone to listen to them.
