Today we’d like to introduce you to Kai Chan.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I originally was going to school to become a teacher. It’s not until my fiancé and I opened up a Boba tea shop called Sharetea in Mansfield, TX that I realized I needed to focus on our business and make sure everything is running smoothly before I can go back to school. After a few years, our business is now running well on its own and this is when I decided that I wanted a career change and get into Real Estate! I’ve always had the love to help and give back to people because I wanted to change the world! It’s nice to know that because of me, my clients are excited and happy to be moving into their new homes! It is one of the best feelings in the world and I will forever treasure all those moments.
My heart was set on working with Rogers Healy and Associates way before I even finished my classes. I have been following RHA for a while on social media and I really liked how motivational Rogers is to everyone. He pushes us all to do well and he really cares and loves what he does. I scheduled an interview with Rogers and from the moment I spoke to the team, I knew this is where I wanted to be. The training and support I get from everyone in RHA is impeccable! After I had passed my test, I got right to work a few days later and everything from there is history! I am so excited for this journey because this is just the beginning!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The journey to getting my Real Estate license wasn’t the smoothest or the easiest! Because I had a business to run during the day, the only time I was able to study is at night. There were many nights I stayed up until 5am to study and then wake up at 9am to go run the store. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t burnt out! In the end, I studied hard and passed my licensing exam on the first try!
The struggles didn’t end there after getting my license! As most people know, the housing market is pretty crazy right now! There are more people moving here than there are homes being built! When seeing my client’s offers and applications being denied, it can be a bit discouraging. But I do try to stay positive for my clients and work even harder to get their next offer accepted! I always look at it as a blessing in disguise. It helps me improve and learn along the way!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a Realtor with Rogers Healy and Associates and I help people find their dream home! I work with all different types of transactions whether it be a lease, buying, selling or even apartment locating in all different price points! My goal is to make your real estate journey an exceptional one!
What sets me apart from others is that I love building relationships with my clients! I am 100% attentive to everything they tell me from what they want or need in a home to important days in their lives. I want my clients to feel comfortable talking to me and letting me know their concerns. Like I’ve mentioned, I love the feeling of giving and knowing that I am putting 120% in what I do and love makes me feel great! So if you are looking to buy, sell or lease then contact me and we can discuss everything over a boba milk tea date!
What does success mean to you?
Growing up, I always thought being successful was having money, having a nice big house and have all designer things. But now that I got older and am able to work on myself more each and every day, I realize success to me is achieving my own personal goals! Success is passing that test you studied so hard for, success is believing you can do it, success is having a roof over your head and food on the table. Being rich and having a nice house should not define you as whether you are successful or not.
