Meet Marwah Hussein of Marwahfitness88

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marwah Hussein.

Hi Marwah, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started my fitness journey after giving of birth to my first child about eight years ago I fell in love with muscle building lifting weight help me change my physical appearance and mentally as well it helps a lot with my depression and anxiety I decided to become a personal trainer to help woman so go through the same thing that went through especially in my culture as a Middle Eastern woman the concept of bodybuilding it’s only for men and a muscle for woman it’s a big no-no five years ago I made it my mission to change these concepts so I decided to take my personal trainer certificate when I worked at the gyms I feel like I could not Express my passions to fitness for the gyms it’s all about the money and how much money they can make an hour to meet with each transformations I live with my client it’s a big deal to me so I decided to do a small gym in my garage that help me take care of my little babies while working since the idea of putting two kids in daycare not only expensive but I wasn’t too happy about it because I want to see their moments growing up.

When I started my gym, I had one client for almost one year and a half this whole time I was working on growing my social media platform but even that was difficult I feel like I was speaking a different language people didn’t understand the concepts of healthy eating and muscle building specially for women I wanted to quit every single day because of the frustrations and disappointment but something inside of me kept telling me to keep going and one day all this hard work I put in to spread awareness and change peoples lives it will pay off and I did especially 2020 I went from one client to 30 and probably the same amount on the waiting list people start seeing the transformation With all my girls my social media platform grew more I even got recognized in one of the biggest magazines in Iraq as most influencer person immigrant who live in the United States. I don’t only dream of having my own big gym I dream of making a difference of change and so many ideas in regards muscle building and woman. The stereotype about female bodybuilders.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The real struggle is trying to explain to people that it’s not just one meal plan or one work out that it’s going to change their life there are so many things in regard healthy lifestyle that cannot be explained in one sessions or one video that’s in my social media platform specially when so many trainers they rather take the easy way just make a video for abs and that’s it it will make you blow and more famous or put a program for $300 give people that give people false hopes that they can change their body in three months only when this is not realistic so when I came in and try to explain to people that sometimes it might take years until you get it right it was hard for them to except it and except me.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Marwahfitness88?
My business is my private gym at my house. I train my clients give 101 sessions or group classes as a Boot Camp in my backyard. I also recently started to couple work out and my gym I don’t only provide a work out a lot of the times during the sessions it turns to therapy session instead of a work out people told me about your day what’s make them upset their frustration their disappointment in life and I think that’s the secret that keeps people with me for three years or even more as a client because it becomes to more than just losing weight.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I don’t think I have a good luck because I feel like I gave so much but I haven’t got that recognize that I deserve. I try not to keep this in my head because in my slow me down.
