Today we’d like to introduce you to Peter Calabrese.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started off simple enough. I was living in Houston and got transferred to Plano. We moved into our home and within 15 months I was out of a job. This was at the height of the tech/telecom bubble. Since my current career path was gone I re-educated myself to become a home inspector. I never seemed to make any headway. 1 step forwards and 2 steps back. Feeling frustrated I started to ask different questions and got some interesting answers. Then I met a fantastic person who opened my eyes to just what was going on in my life. She explained to me in very simple and concise terms what my house, front door direction and the position of my bed was doing to me and my family. This was the worst and best 10 minutes in my life. She was the local Classical Chinese Feng Shui that everyone I knew was going to for help. From that point on I helped her with her clients and learned a little and then stated to educated myself by attending classes from her Feng Shui Master.
I mainly use my skills to help friends and family understand the questions they have about why things are happening and sometimes who to date and where to work.
Has it been a smooth road?
It has not always been smooth sailing with my pursuit of education in Feng Shui. You have to understand Karma. It is and can be a very difficult thing to deal with. This type of Feng Shui is sometimes used for nefarious things in other parts of the world and this is when Karma makes itself know in a big way. Trying to be more proactive and generous in my approach is better than the alternative.

I am a single person company. I work on creating the best picture of the clients situation and asking about their goals before recommending anything. You have to remember that it is their decisions that are leading them to you and their decisions are their Karma. If you go against this or try to interject your thoughts and/or feelings into the decision this is not what they are paying for and may not get the desired results for the client. I am very selective about my clients and only work with people who want to learn and grow from the experience.
Classical Chinese Feng Shui is not traditionally found correct in books. Some may practice Feng Shui and there are several different styles. One should check with the practitioner to see where they studied and how progressed they are on to Mastery. I am small and I have a working knowledge that is helpful and I have the help and lines to the Master when I run into a problem. Always work with a backup. No one person can know it all. True mastery is developed over time. It is not a certificate that is attained lightly. The masters’ reputation is on line every time I work with a client. I take that very seriously and therefore I am very selective.
