Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel Corage.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
As a very young child, I would wander the splendid New Orleans home of my great grandmother. I loved admiring the fine furnishings she collected from worldwide travels. In 2005, I renovated my first home on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Bringing new life to a quaint beach house lit a passion in me for home remodeling. After earning a Master’s of Business Administration with an emphasis in Design, my husband and I moved to Dallas, Texas.
In 2013, I started an interior design business. Through the years, this business has expanded to include general contracting. Contracting has provided the opportunity to design, build and renovate properties. It is a pleasure and privilege to help our clients achieve their home remodeling and design dreams. My approach to design is ever evolving and always inspired. My passion is to design and construct spaces that are a true reflection of the people living in them.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
There have been many ups and downs. Many hard lessons learned along the way but all have helped me to grow as an entrepreneur and designer and to better advocate for my clients. Of course, Covid has greatly impacted our industry and learning to navigate the ever-changing landscape has been a crash course in thinking outside of the box to accomplish business, timeline and client-based goals.
As you know, we’re big fans of Tria Custom Homes. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
We are different than most design firms in that we offer a truly full-service design experience. In addition to interior design, we offer a full spectrum of services that include new build, complete remodel and pre-build design assistance. Our services can be customized to meet customer’s needs. We offer 3D renderings, which we find incredibly helpful in visualizing client design expectations as well as mitigating any potential misalignment in design options.
As a general contractor with an array of construction field experience, we can help effectively communicate our client’s design goals. We ensure client’s interests and approved designs are properly communicated to construction professionals to ensure proper implementation.
We have established relationships with trusted contractors. We only work with contractors who we believe have an elevated work ethic and consistently deliver an outstanding product. We can also work with client-selected contractors if preferred. We always advocate for our clients to achieve their design and budgetary goals. Combining these foundational elements with superior and uncompromising customer service makes working with Tria Custom Homes a client-centered, exceptionally unique experience.
So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
