Check Out Alyssa Nicole’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alyssa Nicole.

Hi Alyssa, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
I was born and raised in Abilene, TX. I have always been interested in modeling and acting since I was younger and loved to be in front of the camera but I didn’t know where to even begin. When I was 11, I moved up into the DFW area. My passion for modeling continued to grow and I knew it was something I dreamed of doing. I did my research and came upon several modeling schools and agencies. I started going to a modeling and acting school for 20 weeks and then, I graduated.

Soon after graduating, I signed on with my first agent. Even though I went to a modeling school and I have an agent, everything I’ve done so far has been self-taught and jobs I get for myself. After starting my modeling career, I then started to become a social media influencer! After my Instagram started growing, I then started a YouTube channel (The Alyssa Nicole) and two TikTok pages! (@thealyssanicole and @alyssanicole.official). I am currently doing more sponsorships and brand collaborations more than ever.

My parents and my brother have also been very supportive along my journey. My mom has been a huge help with taking a lot of my professional pictures.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Modeling isn’t as easy as people think it is. It’s not just “taking simple pictures” or “posting random pictures on social media”. Modeling involves so much time, effort, planning and sometimes money to invest in yourself. It’s something you really have to be willing to spend hours and hours on and have to be passionate about it. The modeling industry is huge. It has definitely not been a smooth road for me. It’s easy to get discouraged when you’re still at a growing stage but with my determination and passion, there’s no way I’ll give up.

When I first started, there were times when I wanted to give up because I felt like I wasn’t achieving much and that I didn’t have time for it. I had to come to a realization that it’s going to take years to be where I want to be and everything will be in God’s timing. There’s a lot of ups and downs with being a model but you have to push those aside and focus on why you started.

It will never be easy but that’s what makes it so special to be a part of because not everyone can do it or stick with it. It’s sometimes challenging because I’m currently a full time college student and I also have a job, so balancing modeling and other content creation on top of that while still trying to have a social life is very difficult.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am currently still building my portfolio and growing my knowledge of the industry. I am currently doing more social media influencing and self-content creating than I am modeling due to my schedule and availability. One of the brands I have modeled for is ‘The Black Shoppe’. I am also working on publication, brand sponsorships and growing my audience.

I have had so many opportunities come up lately that I am so excited for my audience to see. A couple of accomplishments I am most proud of would be my partnership with ‘Papaya Clothing’, getting published in over 3 magazines (Style & Soul Magazine Fall 2019, Dreamy Magazine issue 81, and Focused Magazine Winter 2020) and also being on the ‘Target finds’ website (https://www.target.com/finds/posts/3sGnNg4F6UUCgdyR7fyXht )! I think what sets me apart from others is my determination and passion. I am a very passionate person with a wide view of how I see my future and I am so determined to work towards everything I want. I am also a very genuine and positive person which can take you far in this industry and make you stand out.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
In the future, I plan on going to either LA or Houston to model because they have such a high industry. I am also interested in being a travel model as well. My dreams don’t just stop at modeling! I plan on getting more into acting as well. I look forward to working with major brands, modeling for different companies and also being in different films.

I am looking forward to being a print model and seeing myself all around the world spreading positivity and inspiring others to chase their dreams!! I am so thankful for my family, my boyfriend and my few close friends for all of their love and support. It’s always good to feel like someone is for cheering you on all the way to the finish line. In the next 5-10 years, I will have grown so much more and will be modeling, acting and creating content full time!
