Today we’d like to introduce you to Loredana Craciun.
Hi Loredana, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I was born in Romania, one of the most beautiful countries in the world. Since I was a little girl, I enjoyed singing. My passion grew in grade school, being fortunate to join the school choir and sing for the then, Current Romanian president; Nicolae Ceausescu.
Around 16 years of age, I attended a private music school. My teacher was one of the most famous singers in our country; Mihaela Runceanu. Working alongside her was a blessing, she taught me most of what I knew. Unfortunately, her life was cut short. A few month after, Romania underwent a revolution, many people lost their life to succeed as a free (non-communist) country. Moving forward, I pursued my career in singing. Entering in competitions like, Americas Got Talent. I entered 4 times on the final pursuit I won first place launching my career even further. That was the moment and privilege I can say to meet the greatest and the best composer in Romania , DAN IAGNOV, who wrote 8 beautiful songs for me, proudly appeared on tv shows, singing and touring Romania with the best artists at that time. I traveled around the world performing in many countries but I especially enjoyed the Ancient traditional lifestyle in Egypt. I truly love Japan, where I resided for 17 years.
In Japan, I was not only a singer.. I performed on TV shows, commercials and was an extra in a few movies.
There I interacted with many famous people. One day I was thinking what will I do when I stop singing.. I always wanted to have my own spa one day. Stemming from my artistic and gentle nature. So I went to school In Japan, I got licensed in Japanese nail art, makeup, massage and esthetics. I was singing in a very famous piano bar, where one day I met the man who would become my husband. I moved to the US and married him, he fueled my dreams and supported me everyday.
I worked in an upscale spa as an esthetician in Dallas, The Spa at The Joule. Working hard and becoming successful, my husband fulfilled my dream and opened a spa in Southlake for me. Unfortunately, he left too early, he went to heaven he was a 21 year BRAVE USMC. Who fought and dedicated his life to our country. I am fighting everyday for his legacy, I want to make him proud and to continue as a successful businesswoman and esthetician.
I want to make people feel great, beautiful and to uplift their self esteem. I love my career as a business owner and head esthetician of Loredana’s Beauty in Southlake, Texas.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
We started planning to open the spa during covid, that was a challenge in and of itself. We finally launched and opened on February 5th, 2021. Shortly to follow was the 2021 Texas snowstorm no one was prepared for. This, unfortunately, hit our spa very hard, causing a 2 month closure to repair the internal damage. On the day of re-open, my precious husband passed away… I have felt lost since then and heartbroken.
