Today we’d like to introduce you to Jenny Campbell.
Hi Jenny, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started Jenny Cam Beauty as a hobby. My husband, Sean, saw me watching a lot of fashion and beauty content, and said, “You could totally do that!” Since then, he has been my number one encourager and cheerleader, always liking my social media posts, and pushing me to try new things. I had one YouTube video go viral, and since then, it has been a whirlwind! I now have 2 employees! It’s crazy!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I have had lots of bumps in the road. Many times, I’ve felt uninspired or just tired. I used to get so discouraged at negative (or just flat out mean) comments. But Sean has always encouraged me and pushed me to keep going! And it has been such a blessing to be able to help my family financially while doing something I love!
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I basically just buy clothes, record myself trying on clothes, and then post it to YouTube. It sounds so crazy! But I love helping other women find affordable fashion, and connecting with them on social media. I focus on affordable brands like Walmart, Target, and Old Navy, with a sprinkling of higher end brands I think are worth it. I love that, I love hearing from women who have found things they can afford and make them feel beautiful!!
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
I’ve learned that even if you are doing something you love, it’s hard work. If you want to succeed, you have to hustle and work hard!
