Takiyah, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I am a mother of 2 beautiful girls and who love to party – we love to party – and love hosting parties. For about 3 years I have wanted to have my own private event venue and in 2015 I took that leap of faith.
I named the business after my 2 girls, Avery “Joyce” & Tatum “Olivia”. Because my girls love parties and to socialize, I searched for a neat alternative to party – “Petite Fête”. It is a French phrase for small celebration or party. Remember…my girls like to party.
I love parties – no matter how big or small. We want you to have fun. It’s a party – the most wonderful event you will ever plan, even if you do it simple. You do not have to spend a fortune to have a spectacular event and we can help you accomplish that, regardless of budget. – Petite Fête!
Joyce & Olivia’s Petite Fête focuses on bringing the clients personality and ideas into the space creating an individualist event, providing an intimate atmosphere with a unique and creative backdrop. It is important that we bring elegance & glam to any event – big or small.
With almost 2 years in business we have hosted weddings, birthday parties, anniversary celebrations, baby showers, engagement celebrations as well as network events, meetings and workshops. Our space has no limits as to what type of event or occasion can take place.
We love to see amazing events take place and transform our space into a marvelous celebration for each individual client, creating memories to last a life time.
Has it been a smooth road?
There have been some challenges, changes in construction plans that required additional money. Learning the natural of the business as it relates to cash flow. Keeping the business relevant on social media and fresh.

I feel like our city is a good place for a business like mine. I love the area that I am located in and have gotten great response from those that live in the area of Joyce & Olivia’s. I am grateful for the support that has been shown to Joyce & Olivia’s as a business. I would recommend any business to start in the area, it is growing and expanding.
