Today we’d like to introduce you to Janay Cash.
Hi Janay, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
I started 3BQ Diamond six years ago in California and it was just a kids clothing boutique that has now evolved into an empire. We quickly expanded to women’s apparel and our nonprofit called Diamonds Do brunch which is our mother-daughter bonding organization was also formed during this time. Five years later we expanded our market from California to Houston, Texas and broadened our clothing brand by adding men’s apparel we have named Onyx Men.
We have had multiple fashion shows and events in California and have done three in Houston this year alone and from those events, our empire has now added a full modeling and talent agency. With all that said none of this would have been possible in Houston without those who were so generous to lend a helping hand.
We want to acknowledge those who have helped us on this journey starting with Urban Glimpse PR Firm(Camm Baily), Braveroots Films, The BE University (Erica Aran & Braylyn), Amanda Sapp & The Amazing 1025 Family, Allanah Porter(PR), Glam house Graphics, OW3 Photography, Dorsey Distributing, DJ Fresh, Domo Sounds, Darrell “Drew” Wright, Felicity Kessee (Lebella Makeup), Ewane Masango, The soundtrack to every event artists Baby J & Lil J, our amazing media correspondent Dai from Dai To Day TV and last but not least the CEO’s of SWAVE Tre Houston and Da’ Houston. This Houston team was put together by the SWAVE CEO’s and we are so appreciative. Our California team has been back and forth all year helping us execute these new endeavors as well, Janice Cash, Terri Johnson, Thelma Bishop, Kimmy Robinson, Kelly Davis, Kevin Cash and the list goes on.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
This road has not been smooth but anything worth having is worth fighting for. Transitioning from California to Texas was not easy and there were a lot of unforeseen issues but we fought through it and we are now in a better space because of the trials and tribulations.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about 3BQ Diamond and Diamonds?
3BQ Diamond is an online boutique that is geared towards providing affordable fashion-forward clothing for women and will be adding our Onyx Men’s line this winter. Diamonds LLP is also our event planning company that provides the fashion shows, brunches, networking events, etc. We also have our new modeling and talent agency that consists of our amazing seven: Tayla, Dynastee’, LaQuita, Latriece, Rochelle, Jonihira, and China. Together our companies are providing platforms for creatives to showcase their talents, clothing and more. What sets us apart is that we strive to make everything we do about the culture and not just us as individuals. I am proud that we are able to provide fashion-forward clothing without breaking the bank and that we are able to provide platforms for those who may not have access to the industries. Our brand offers everything the entertainment and fashion industries need in order for you to be successful.
