Today we’d like to introduce you to Jenniffer Hardwick.
Hi Jenniffer, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Truth be told I started being an entrepreneur early in age I was only in the 7th grade the first time I rallied my friends together to start a car wash, I then went on to sell candy in high school to raise money in attempt to receive the best-dressed reward (that in which I didn’t lol) but my spirit always lead me to make a way for the things I wanted. I am originally from California where the music, film, and sport industry is the way of life so it seems, so once I realized I wouldn’t make it to the WNBA I decided to begin modeling. I was featured in a number of music videos and at 21 I landed a role on Oxygen Network reality show ” bad Girls Club “, and shortly after that “All-star battle”, where I was crowned the baddest bad girl. At the time of the challenge show, I found out I was pregnant with my daughter which change my outlook on who I was and what type of mother I wanted to be. I begin to look at my past and did some major soul searching during that time I realized my goal in life was to inspire the next woman to pave her own trail to greatness. That’s when my brand Inspired was born. I have been hitting the pavement sharing inspirational messages on my social media about finding yourself and blocking out the negativity of the world. Inspired seems to my second child as the brand grows right alongside me. the road has been long and well-fought I am truly enjoying the process.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Funny you asked. The road I decided to take is completely different from the road I was expected. After all, I was crowned the baddest bad girl and in the past, that was deemed some troubled fun-lit lifestyle. I took a stand on what Baddest meant and put my own spin on it. Coming from someone who always felt misunderstood my real trouble is I won’t fit into any box. I will always push the limit placed on me in my true Aquarius form. I would be lying if I didn’t say It’s lonely being the one who went against the grain but there’s something so powerful in this lane. I realized I couldn’t force others to focus on self-love and instead I realized I must lead by example. You would be amazed at how hard is to truly love yourself, well for me at least but I’m forever mastering it. My boundaries are tested nonstop but over time I have seen some get inspired by my brand and lifestyle change. I think growths an ongoing thing and not necessarily a destination so I will forever be tested with obstacles some of which I will pass with ease others will challenge me but I made a promise that If I do nothing I will show up and encourage others to do the same, after all I’m not sure any road is smooth.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I have an online store that sells athleisure; a style of clothing typically worn during athletic activities and in other settings, such as at the workplace, at school, or at other casual or social occasions. We promote self-love featuring quotes for mind, vibrant and intentional colors for the soul, and fly fits for the body! What sets Inspired apart from any other brand is the intention set behind each items sold. Reminding our supporters to vibrate high our clothes are comfortable, fashionable, and convenient.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
With so many lessons how do you pick just one, but overall, I learned that when you truly believe in what you’re doing your tribe will find you they will support you. Don’t worry about the time that will pass consistency and undeniable relentlines is the key. So, on the good days and the bad if you do nothing but just show up you already won!
