Today we’d like to introduce you to Tim & Brianna Kleinmeier.
Hi Tim & Brianna, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
While living in the Dallas area we were introduced to drones and Tim quickly discovered his passion for drone racing. Through this hobby it led us from weekend races to deep diving into the FAA and the regulations behind commercial drones to ultimately taking a leap of faith in creating a business.
Not long after welcoming our first baby, and wanting to make a huge career change, we made the move back to East Texas to purposefully be closer to family and pursue more opportunities. The start of this business was honestly a quick push to create some kind of an income to fill the gaps. We had several family members involved in Real Estate and it opened our eyes to the need of Real Estate photography in East Texas. While drones were our easy way into this industry, covering all aspects and being a ‘one-stop shop’ by providing ground-level work was easily as important. From there, we have introduced full cinematic videos, 360 tours, floor plans and so much more to what we offer our clients.
There have been countless hours going through training courses, sleepless nights, and a ton of trial and error to build and develop the brand we stand behind. The very first listing we photographed took us hours on-site and even longer in editing! Looking back at our first photoshoot we laugh and are grateful for the growth we’ve made. Now, we are 4 years into our business and blessed to work with some of the absolute best agents, builders, and designers all over the DFW/East Texas area.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
When we started Sky High Perspective, we had a lot of obstacles to overcome due to us being so new to the industry. While we’ve both had a passion for media production since before high school, we had never applied the more technical side of it. Through a lot of hours of editing courses, instructional videos, and even more hours of fieldwork we pushed hard to find our brand.
Along with teaching ourselves a whole new business came the financial hardships as well. To start our company, we stepped away from half of our income while diving into the start-up costs of a media company. We’ve pushed through long days and even longer nights to build our clientele and create a steady income with our business.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Sky High Perspective is a family-owned and operated media production company. We specialize in Photography and Videography! We are a husband-and-wife team focused on providing you the absolute best experience in creating your brand. We cover interior/exterior photos of homes and businesses, aerial stills or aerial video work, 360 tours, floor plans, FPV (First Person View) videos, realtor branding videos to full cinematic walk-through videos.
We are so humbled to be right where we are today. We have so many goals that we are still striving to meet in our personal and professional life. We don’t take for granted how quickly we have grown and how much work we have put into being where we are today.
We don’t hide the fact we are a small business and very family-oriented! Both our children have been to countless photoshoots with us and have been a huge part in how we have shaped our business. When you contact us, you know who you will be working with every step of the way. We have the utmost respect for our clients in both their professional and personal walk. We hope everyone has their own version of “what sets us apart” on why they continue to use us, but for us, we hope our passion and talent speaks volumes.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
We are a part of an industry that can change monthly and that’s especially what we’ve seen it do over the past year. Every business online presence is huge right now, and it’s going to become even more imperative in the years to come. Thinking outside the box in your marketing, and more importantly, staying consistent with pushing your content/brand is what keeps you in front of your customers. The beauty of this industry is that there will always be large shifts, but we are here to adapt and help our clients through any and all changes as well.
