Today we’d like to introduce you to Nai Washington.
Hi Nai, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
The idea to launch Dwell247 started during the pandemic. I walked away from my corporate gig, which allowed time for me to do some soul searching to figure what it was that we really enjoyed doing. He and I are both two creatives who love art and home decor. We used our savings to start a boutique style home decor business. Now here are, several month and thoroughly enjoying the journey!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road has NOT been smooth. The struggles we faces were finding a location to open our shop. Many commercial properties didn’t return our phone calls, others just simply weren’t interested. Finally, we found a space in Lincoln Square, Arlington, TX through a company called ShopCore Properties. After finding a space, the next struggle was shipping delays on a lot of our inventory. We kept having to push our opening out further and further.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are a retail shop! We have a brick and mortar store inside of Lincoln Square at 604 Lincoln Square, Arlington, TX 76011. We sell home decor accessories and accent furniture. We are known for our competitive rates and unique pieces. We are most proud of jumping out there and opening our shop! The thing that sets us apart is that we are a boutique style home decor shop with pieces that are unique and prices so reasonable, you wouldn’t believe it!
What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory is going to Disneyland with my mom! We had an amazing time!
