Rising Stars: Meet Ali Vollmer

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ali Vollmer.

Hi Ali, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My life has been full of some pretty big chapters. I made the choice to end my career in Education when my heart and soul told me that it was time for some major changes in my life. I’d always wanted to work in Real Estate but taking the leap from a salary job in education to a completely commission-based job as a realtor was extremely scary. However, as soon as I got into, I knew that I had to believe in myself and my ability to love and build relationships with other in order for me to succeed. It’s been a whirlwind since I first began but I would never turn back now.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been extremely exciting and also, scary and disappointing at times. My success is all directly related to the work I put in – but not in the present moment. Everything I do right now to build business fills my pipeline and comes to fruition usually a few months down the road. The best part is getting to help people achieve and reach over the dream of homeownership.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a real estate agent in Dallas-Fort Worth. I work under the Ben Kinney Team and Place Inc – both are a part of Keller Williams. I absolutely love what I do because I literally get to help people find a place to call home while also helping them build wealth through real estate. I get to help people during a time that is typically very stressful (moving) and do my best to make it a smooth and stress-free transition. My purpose in this life is to serve others and love others and being a realtor makes it easy to live this purpose out. It isn’t about the sale for me, it’s about being there for people and showing them love and kindness along the way.

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
You never know what to expect in this crazy life but it was easy to see how important having a community and relationships with others was and is in all unforeseen situations. COVID – gave me opportunities to support and love my neighbors and friends. It’s also put into perspective how all of us should do our best to respect those around us. It seems that as little kids we can recall the golden rule and treat others the way we want to be treated but as adults – people have forgotten how much better living life by this rule makes our lives.
