Thanks for sharing your story with us Todd. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Opened my first tanning salon 29 years ago in Houston, Texas. Our business continuously evolved into more and more services outside of traditional tanning. It was this evolution that prompted me to re-brand our business to a more fitting name to the type of business we had become. That happened about 16 years ago. Ultimately we are a more diverse type of spa. Services currently include luxury tanning, exquisite spray tans. Skin hydration therapy, infrared sauna, hypothermic fitness, cryotherapy, halo therapy, facial rejuvenation and acne treatments, oxygen for wellness, massage chairs, and more. Services vary per location more than anything due to the size of the spa. All locations offer new clients their first year of basic level tanning absolutely free!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Overall it has been fairly smooth. Like any business we experienced challenges but nothing we couldn’t handle.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Personally, I define success as it relates to happiness. I enjoy what I do and have been able to support my family. When I quit enjoying my business it is time to retire. We make people look and feel better for a living! There is a certain sense of accomplishment each and every day when you can provide a service like that for your clients!
