Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Patterson.
Hi Taylor, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Here is my back story I was born and raised in Dallas, TX. I am 26 years old and a mother to two beautiful children Queen(daughter) and Golden(son). I absolutely love traveling and FOOD is life!!! Learning my way through life and accepting God’s will, my walk with God means everything to me!! He blessed me with this beautiful book called “Learning God for Yourself”! I wrote the book in one day back in 2018. First God blessed me with the title, for three days on my way to work I heard the name. So, I began asking God if he wanted me to write about my personal walk with him, and on the third day, I heard devotional and I began writing…By time I left work, I had a book!!! I could not believe it, me an author!!! I obsessed over it for months and then I sat on it for three years!!! I never thought it would become what is today!!!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
This path was so smooth! I literally did not stress or worry about anything! God opened and closed the right doors every step of the way! It was truly a blessing!! I cannot wait until God bless me with another book!! I would often get asked if I planned on writing more books and my reply would always be “If God put it on my heart to” and I still stand on that!! He blessed me with this one; so if it is a part of his will for me to write another one then I will do it to the best of my abilities!! God uses us all for his purpose and when we walk in that purpose correctly it’s powerful!! God said in his word that he knows his plans for us, plans to prosper us and not harm! (Jeremiah 29:11)
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I currently work for Blue Cross Blue Shield. However, I am open to whatever God has planned for me to do!! These jobs are just assignments from him so wherever he takes me next, I am excited to go!! I believe what sets me apart is my heart!! I love so hard and I have a genuine passion for God!! This book means so much and I did it because God asked me to!! I just want to be obedient to him!! There is power in obedience!! I really would like to do a book tour and just cover all areas of the world promoting my book!! I am so Godly proud of the way this book turned out just looking back on how I first envisioned it to how it looks now!! I truly cherish it because I can see the growth in myself through the cover of the book. I am not the same woman I was in 2018 when I wrote it!! All praise be to God!
What was your favorite childhood memory?
Growing up my mom, my brother, and I would have movie night every Wednesday and my mom would make this drink that my brother and I would call the “green stuff”!! Lol it was just green sherbet and ginger-ale!! But that was a very great childhood memory because it formed the bond that we have today!!!
