Today we’d like to introduce you to Carley Mitchell.
Hi Carley, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My name is Carley Mitchell and I’m from Fort. Worth, Texas. I have been body sculpting since November of 2019. After the death of my grandmother in 2016 at a young age to Health complications at the age of 61. I knew I wanted to start a business helping people in my community live a healthy long life. I began my journey in the fitness and wellness industry in 2015 but started to focus on it after my grandmother’s passing. After years of helping others become fit and healthy, I knew body sculpting would be a great addition to my business. BodyLit Sculpting was launched in February of 2020. My goal is to help more people in my community become more educated on health and wellness to live longer for their families.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I started the business a month before the world went on a complete shut down to the pandemic. That caused many challenges for me in the beginning. With body sculpting being something very new. I had challenges marketing my services and getting people to trust me to try on them.

Legal named BodyLit Sculpting & Fitness BodyLiT Sculpting for short is a female black-owned wellness and fitness business. That specializes in Non-Invasive Body Contouring Methods as well as fitness and health. BodyLit sculpting is not like any other spa because we don’t just offer quick solutions we also focus on health and wellness by teaching about nutrition and fitness.
Risk-taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I’m all for risk-taking because I know that I can always start over. In my mind, it’s never too late to chase a dream or switch paths if I need to it’s my life and I’m the author. When I first started my business, I had to take a risk and leave the security of my job and run my business full time.
