Hi Jacob, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
The El3vated Man’s journey began many years before it “launched” as a simple blog in 2016 for men to utilize for motivation, product reviews, and general life advice. Using my life as an example and my understanding that there is more to life than punching a clock to pay bills, I wanted to be able to provide a resource for those who wanted more out of life.
Over the course of the last 5 years, The El3vated Man has transformed into a full-scale fitness/mentorship organization. We’ve done transformation challenges, fitness training (both 1on1 via in-person and virtual style), and hundreds of hours diving into the day-to-day struggles and successes we face as humans. Understanding that motivation is just one of the keys to success, and that discipline is the learned behavior that remains when all else is lost The El3vated Man focuses on developing discipline on all fronts.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
If by smooth road you mean ups and downs and constant construction and unexpected cliffs?? Then yes, it’s been smooth. In all seriousness, it’s been at times challenging because …well life will always give you a reason or excuse to stop moving forward. The only real “struggle” that showed up was in 2020 when Covid showed its head, however, it completely reshaped my model into 100% virtual and it’s been a complete blessing.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Fitness/Training is by far my favorite thing to work with in clients, and next is building and cultivating healthy relationships with those around you. Having a great council can help more than you could imagine.
Creating a healthy body, mind, and soul are essential in life and often times our bodies are the forgotten staple. We eat what we want, drink what we want, and run as hard as we can for our jobs/lives with little regard to what’s taking place inside and that’s a risk we shouldn’t be taking. So, taking the time to be more mindful of what we’re taking in, the time we’re taking to rest, and the quality of life we currently have is something we focus on with T.E.M.
We aren’t a one-trick pony and never will be. Fitness is our specialty, but quality of life is our focus.
