Hi Lajada, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hello everyone my name is lajada Jackson I’m born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana growing up i never really had much just only made it look good i was always into keeping myself up dressing nice wanting to try different hair styles but i never really knew how much potential i had in me i had lack of self esteem no self confidence what so ever and i was very timid and shy when i got to high school that’s when things started to change when i started to notice how beautiful i was by the attention i received from people when i was 17 i graduated high school and went off to college to be a nurse i realize this is not what i wanted to do for myself i was in and out of different college trying to figure it out i became so depressed and how i fought depression was going out parting all the time and drinking when i turned 21 i had a vision come over me of being an esthetician i seriously started seeing esthetician everywhere down my timeline so i took the initiative to start going to school & that’s where i found loved in what i wanted to be a beauty influencer/ esthetician i want my name everywhere i started making talk video with my boyfriend a while back and i loved talking on camera so i was like i can add talks into my business and i did just that and i love speaking and motivating others to be the best version of there selves god gave me the vision and i walked on faith becoming the woman i am today and I’m still becoming her each day .
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been an easy road at all what’s so funny about that is that I thought it was going to be so easy but you most definitely have to have a strong mind and be self-motivated to get through the obstacles and not care about what other people think.
I use to seek validation from people my whole life thinking just because there not saluting me or telling me I’m doing a good job then it means I’m not you know.
when you barely see support or the your clientele not moving fast as you want it can be very discouraging and make you want to stop but if god gave you the vision the dream the passion you can’t stop until you’re at the top.
