Today we’d like to introduce you to Tia Davidson.
Tia, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
In 2016 I started my blog The Millennial Wives Club because I didn’t see millennials sharing realistic experiences about marriage. So, I created a blog/community where millennial women could connect with like-minded women who were adjusting to major life transitions. It was such a success but the name limited my audience so I started a podcast, “Women in Transition” which is a safe space for transparent storytelling about life, love, and business. I love to challenge women to get out of their comfort zone by encouraging them to share their journey with authenticity. We are all adjusting to this world of perfection experts “doing it for the ‘gram” when in real life we want to live our purpose out loud, build positive adult relationships, have successful careers, and adjust to our new identities in marriage and parenthood. Each episode I want to help my listeners see the growth and possibility in “What’s Next?”.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
For the most part, it has been a smooth road because everything that I do is with passion and allows me to use all of my talents and gifts. The main challenge has been being a one-woman show who is managing it all by myself while balancing a full-time job, family, and social life.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Tia Davidson is the Founder and Creator behind The Millennial Wives Club, a blog and nationwide community dedicated to millennial women who are adjusting to major life transitions yet desire to connect with like-minded women with similar lifestyles. From the success of the blog, Tia began to grow her personal brand as a content creator/influencer behind @AccordingtoTia, which allows her to inspire her audience through authentic storytelling about being a millennial woman in transition while sharing her tips on fashion and beauty. After years of research and learning how to build a successful brand she started her own creative consultant agency called Embellished Hustle, a consulting service to millennials who need help building a transitional brand that converts followers to customers from bomb content. Now, she is the host behind a new podcast called Women in Transition where she will share her story along with members from her community journey from still figuring it out to adjusting and finding balance. These platforms allow her to share her passion while sharing knowledge in different areas of expertise.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I was super shy as a kid and after my mom got me involved in more social activities I broke out of my shell. I’ve always been a person who wanted to relate to others and make people feel good about themselves. I wanted to be America’s Next Top Model to be another example of beauty that I didn’t see often because even then I knew there was more than one kind of image or story to share.
