Meet Farah Naz Siddiqui

Today we’d like to introduce you to Farah Naz Siddiqui.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Bringing beauty to everything around me was always my passion. I am a big foodie and I love to entertain people, but I never wanted to do that in a traditional way. I always try to add fun and excitement to whatever I do, be it food or activities. I did my certification in event planning and worked as a design consultant. Pandemic hit and the world shut down, but not my urge to learn and follow my passion, so I took an online certification for event decor. Luckily, I had a great teacher/mentor who opened our minds towards so many possibilities around us.

I started my search as to what can I do which involves my passion, my creativity and whatever I have learned throughout.

I was alien to social media, so I had to teach myself how to use all the platforms to search about my potential ideas and then how to market my business through them.

Luckily pandemic gave me ample time to do all what needed to be done. I started my business in November 2020.

As a starter, I created charcuterie for family and friends, which was well received and it made me realize how these boards can bring excitement and pleasure around us.

Two months later I delivered my first order. I would specially like to mention here that I had some amazing people who supported me, be it family, friends, bloggers, influencers, or other small business owners.

I believe that learning never ends so here I am still learning and trying my best the serve people to my best abilities.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It was never a smooth road. First and the foremost, starting a business with kids learning from home, and so much unpredictability around, was difficult but not impossible. Major struggle was to go out in the market to search for fresh and high-quality kosher/halal ingredients, which takes time and exposing oneself to the outside world in pandemic. Following all the sops helped greatly, which I still follow -by the way.

I had not been to the groceries in 6 months, so getting out from home after 6 months felt great. I literally enjoyed it!

Late-nighters, standing long hours in the kitchen, and spending literally a whole day in markets was all the part of my struggle and learning.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I specialize in artistically curated kosher/halal charcuterie boards and spreads for any occasion at all. All my charcuterie is one of a kind and no two boards are the same. With my boards, you will experience various different textures and flavors which will excite your taste buds and you will enjoy all the layers of Artisan delights and assorted goodies.

We love surprises, fun facts, and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
A lot of people who know me through my work and know me as “Graze.licious girl”, doesn’t know that by profession I am a textile designer and I have worked with known brands back home in Pakistan.
