Today we’d like to introduce you to Katrina Night.
Katrina, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
It all started by helping friends and family with their weddings, and I quickly discovered that it was my calling. I love helping people to make such an important day, everything that they dream of.
I worked hard to become certified by the AACWP, with that and a vision of a different kind of planner than I’d seen around the DFW, I started my own company.
As my business grew, I needed more employees to join my team, and now I get to do what makes me happy, every day, from planning the perfect party, to watching the light in a couples eyes, as they marry the person of their dreams.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The worst struggle is actually getting someone to write a review, after it’s all said and done.
I have had so many people thank you from the bottom of their hearts and say they couldn’t have done it without me, but after the day, people get caught up in their busy lives again, and don’t necessarily have the time, or they forget.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Firework Event Planning – what should we know?
One thing I pride myself on is offering more personalized planning, as well as not limiting communication with my clients. A lot of planners see it as a job, but when my client’s put their trust in my company, we treat every event like our own, and do everything possible to make their day exactly the way they want.
Even if that means extra emails or calls. Or picking up slack for another vendor that needs help.

My sister has always been my biggest help, I can bounce ALL of my ideas off of her, she even helped me come up with my company name.
My first boss taught me everything about running a good business, what to do, and what not to do. Then of course there is my wonderful husband, who supports me in everything, and is there for me no matter what.
