Cleo, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I got started with music while being in the hood of Dallas. Having nothing else to do but things I had no business doing so I decided to make my hobby my hustle. Can’t really determent “where I am” because I’m still headed to my destination. I love the hustle of it all, I come from hustling so a struggle ain’t nothing!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Nothing worth having has a smooth road. My biggest struggle was only thinking that I could good at illegal movements. Relearning how to apply myself in a different hustle.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I sing and produce! I rap sometimes when I’m in the mood but lately R&B been doing it for me. I specialize in harmonizing – I call it ‘Ocean Harmony”. Can’t hear one drop by itself but the entire wave! I also specialize in mixing & mastering music but hate doing it lol. I’m known for rapping and producing even though I just love to sing. I’m most proud of the fact that I haven’t let this journey changed me or what I stand for. What sets me apart is I don’t let fans put me in a box. I do wtf I want musically.
