Life & Work with Hannah Garbutt

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hannah Garbutt.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I have always been drawn to tidy, aesthetically pleasing spaces. I had obvious perfectionist tendencies as a child whether it was my room or my schoolwork. Even as a child I knew that when my space was organized, I felt and focused better. When the opportunity to educate myself on this way of life presented itself, I jumped on it. I gained years of experience and knowledge working as an interior decorator and professional organizer for a company in west Texas. It was apparent that organizing was my calling. I found that I could help improve people’s lives by doing what I loved. In 2021 I decided to follow my heart and start a company of my own. I moved to the big city with a dream of changing lives where it matters most- the home.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting a new business in a new city takes a lot of bravery. I knew it wouldn’t be an easy road, but I knew I was on the path that was meant for me. I’ve relied on my faith to guide me in the right directions when it comes to getting my name out there. Slowly but surely, I have partnered with a few really awesome companies to help grow my business. Hannah Neat is currently featured in Village Life magazine, listed on Google, and partnered with Closet Envy. Of course, word of mouth is the best advertisement and I have been so blessed with the most amazing clients. I come highly recommended by every client I have helped so far, and they are always eager to tell their friends about me.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My “why” behind this company is mental clarity for others. I know firsthand that your environment affects your mood and I enable my clients to live their best life in harmony within their space. Living in harmony means to obtain a physical and mental balance in life and we cannot do either of those while surrounded by clutter- literally or figuratively. In order to live a focused and meaningful life we sometimes need to let go of the excess. Whether it be friendships, habits, or items in our closet; when we weed out what does not bring us joy, we are able to be more present for the things that do.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
The integrity of Hannah Neat is one thing I refuse to compromise no matter how big my business becomes. I was raised to live honestly and with good morale. I want my clients to feel safe trusting me in their space and with their belongings. Each client and myself sign a confidentiality agreement but I strive to develop a further sense of confidence for Hannah Neat within them. Once they can trust my integrity, they can believe in me to complete the job honestly and efficiently.
