Meet Brittany Neal

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Neal.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
After high school, my parents signed me up for massage school. I fell in love with it. After completing all of my courses but before starting my internship, the school closed. I wasn’t able to transfer. I immediately started working for Physical Therapists. After about 5 years, I started working for Chiropractors as a massage therapist. I got to be really hands-on and learned so many skills on the job. I went back to school, redid all of the classes, did an extended internship, and obtained my license. I opened my business 3 years ago. I started out doing mobile house calls. Last March, I opened my location in Plano. I also started making my own skincare products and use them to compliment my massage services.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Hard to answer. Most people would say that 2020 and 2021 weren’t the best years. However, in 2020, I had the time and opportunity to learn how to make skin products. In 2021, I left a job that was hindering my business with its long work hours. I am now able to see my own clients, work as much or as little as I’d like. I also get to take as many trips with my fiancé as I can afford. I get to continue to be creative when making my skincare products. I get to learn on my own time. I continue to meet new people every day. I’d say I’m living my dream.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a Licensed Massage Therapist and I specialize in treatment work. This includes deep-tissue, trigger point therapy, myofascial release and more. My focus is to help people get out of pain and stay out of pain. I work with a wide range of clients from athletes to people who may suffer from chronic pain or injuries, or those who want to improve their overall physical well-being. I am known for two things. For one, many comment on my size. They say I am small but wonder how I am so strong. For two, I am also known for being very thorough. I think that’s just a piece of what sets me apart from others. I provide an experience for my clients. My main goal is to make sure they leave my office feeling better than when they walked in. From the moment I meet and greet my client, I am customizing their experience. I start each session with a series of questions to determine how to guide the massage and to make sure I’m doing what is asked of me. I am most proud of being able to start such a journey during a pandemic and leave my full-time job to work for myself.

What matters most to you? Why?
Customer Service matters most to me. I learned this at my first job in high school from my sister, my boss. Since then, I have noticed great or poor customer service from others. It makes or breaks the client experience. If my clients don’t have a great experience then I’m not doing my job to my greatest potential. I strive to make sure they leave feeling better than when they walked in. I want them to feel heard and seen. I want them to trust me and feel taken care of. I expect to feel the same way when going into any business.
