Today we’d like to introduce you to Courtney Brown.
Hi Courtney, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always had a passion for assisting people. I’m from a small town by the name of Denison, Tx and would always see people struggling financially. They would try to purchase cars or homes and get denied because their credit score wasn’t in good standing. The disappointment on their faces would leave me feeling helpless, so I knew I had to do something to help solve this issue. That’s where Brown Bag Financial solutions came about! We’re a financial company that assist our clients with credit and debt counseling, and reach their financial goals!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Running Brown Bag Financial Solutions has definitely NOT been smooth road. Some of the struggles I’ve experienced is getting my clients to overcome fear and believe in themselves and continue to move forward when things get tough for them. I’ve always struggled with fear of failure so that it something I’ve learned to overcome running this business. Turning my obstacles into opportunities.

Brown Bag Financial Solutions LLC is a financial solutions company that is based out of Dallas, Tx, and was founded by Courtney Brown and Jonathan James.
Brown Bag Financial Solutions offers many different solutions to our client’s financial goals by assisting them with preparing for their future. Our team specializes in credit and debt counseling, preparing tax returns, and providing coaching on how to build, rebuild and continue to be successful after our services are rendered.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up I was very quiet and reserved around people that I didn’t know. However, around my friends and family, I was outgoing and enjoyed reading, writing, and spending time doing fun things with those that I loved. I would describe my personality as mysterious. You just never know what you would get with me. I was always full of surprises!
