Today we’d like to introduce you to Renee Hart.
Hi Renee, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Renee has been involved with creating memorable events in the DFW area since 1998. Her work as event source expert includes corporate events, bar/bat mitzvahs, weddings, festivals, and private events from 10 – 10,000+ guests.
2022 is proving to be the most successful year of Renee’s career! In January, she was brought to Houston to assist with a televised Martin Luther King, Jr. tribute followed by another televised event the very next week!
2021 elevated Renee in the special event industry. She was named ILEA (International Live Event Association) Vice President – Education and Programs. In 2021, she was also named Sports Academy at The Star’s exclusive event specialist! This lead to events such as Taki’s National Signing Day, F1rst Responders events, The Charles Haley Tackle Tomorrow Charity Dinner, and dozens more.
In 2018, Renee was named Baylor Scott and White Health Tenure Awards Event Planner for their 46 hospitals spanning far across north and central Texas. 2018 also lead Renee to plan, organize, and facilitate the Guinness Book of World Records largest game of freeze tag ever played (in conjunction with Ed Helms, Jeremy Renner, Jon Hamm, and the cast of TAG the movie).
With her impeccable attention to detail, high standard of client service, vendor relationships, and infectious personality, she will flawlessly execute your event planning needs.
Renee grew up near White Rock Lake in Dallas and Graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and a minor in Communications. Her passions include traveling around the world with her husband, live music, wine, and rescuing dachshunds.
After more than 15 years in the DFW event industry, Renee Hart thought that something was missing from the DFW event landscape. Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The hustle is real. The passion is strong. I look at obstacles and challenges as building blocks both personally and professionally.

Total Events DFW is a modern, fresh, elevated entertainment agency specializing in wedding, corporate, and social events. We have an advanced online planning portal that allows our clients to access their account, update information, make payments, and even set up song lists. We believe each event is completely custom, so no two events are ever the same. I am most proud of my team of vendors and coordinators. Total Events DFW is very relationship-based, not just a simple transaction.
Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
At the age of 14, I began working at White Rock Skate Center in Dallas! Although WRSC closed several years ago, they hold and integral part of my life in my heart. I loved hosting and planning birthday parties for clients and would like to think that’s where my passion for events came from! My second favorite childhood memory would have to be high school band. I was named Head Drum Major my Junior and Senior years – the first time in the school’s history a female would be Head Drum Major as a Junior! I absolutely loved planning the trips throughout the years, fundraising events, and of course leading the musicians.
