Meet Xavier Hicks

Today we’d like to introduce you to Xavier Hicks.

Hi Xavier, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I grew up as a performing artist. I was always singing and dancing. I started recording music at the age of 17. Ever since then, I’ve built my craft to be who I am today: a R&B/Pop/Hip Hop/Soul Artist and Entertainer.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Although it has not been a smooth road, the journey is amazing. I’ve dealt with a lot people who were supposed to be in my corner but was not as serious and committed. I’ve had people who would put me on the back burner or just not take the time to notice me. When that happened, I started taking matters into my own hands and made moves on my own. Once I did, people started gravitating to me.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am an R&B/Pop/HipHop/Soul Artist and Entertainer. I sing, dance, rap, and produce my own music which is what I’m known for. I am most proud of the 3 bodies of work I have put out in the last 5 years, the performances I’ve done in the last 3 years, and the visuals that I’ve put out. The art that I put out separates me from others. It’s something you have to witness for yourself.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Inspiring others to do what they think is the impossible. As an artist/creator, you think some things are impossible to do, but truthfully, they are possible to do. You just have to push pass that negative barrier that’s blocking you.
