Exploring Life & Business with Kim Taylor of Kim Taylor Real Estate Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kim Taylor.

Hi Kim, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I homeschooled my 3 boys until I had my 4th child, then put them all in public school in 2009. From there I started working at my husband’s oil and gas company. I had staged and decorated homes for about 20 years on the side and always thought real estate would be fun, but never took the plunge, until…the layoffs started in the oil and gas industry. My husband said, “Now is the time…you should do real estate!” So, I did! He signed me up for classes at Champions School of Real Estate and I was licensed in December 2015! Wish I would have started this career in 2009!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
I love what I do…I feel as though I have been doing it 20 years. Real Estate came very natural to me! Now, the market the last 2 years has been challenging. Having a team and teaching them how to win an offer and stay diligent is probably my biggest challenge ever.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I run a top producing team called the Kim Taylor Real Estate Group within the JPAR Real Estate Company based out of Frisco, Tx. My team and I are Double Diamond producers selling over $25 Million in home sales in 2021. We are part of the Chairman’s Club, which puts us in the top 1% for GCI as well. My team’s Mission Statement is to Glorify God by putting our client’s needs above our own and providing the highest level of honesty and expertise, which is exactly what we do! We pride ourselves on a quick response time, rising above other agents, exceeding our client’s expectations, and love giving back to our local community.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 33 years. We started dating in the small town of De Leon when I was 15 and he was 20. To put your mind at rest, our families knew each other and he was my cousin’s best friend!
