Today we’d like to introduce you to Boss Talks. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Boss Talks With The Crew started with 4 best friends with a lot to say. The Crew consists of Shurelle Monet, Miss Werking, Jay, and Chef Cham, whom have been friends for over 10 years.
With us being childhood friends, we’ve seen each other grow into the women we are now. We’ve been through so much together and have always encouraged each other and continue to give each other that extra push to keep going when things get tough. We’ve always wanted to start a business or do something as a collective but never had a specific idea as to what. Before starting this project, we attempted to work with others and nothing ever seemed to work out. We finally saw fit to start this journey together with just the four of us in 2021. We already talked daily about any and everything, so it made it easy to decide that starting a podcast/ YouTube channel would be perfect for us.
It was our time to trust God and see what good could come out of us discussing different topics about real life situations. Hoping that we could help someone else who’s dealing or dealt with some of the same things we’ve endured. On Boss Talks With The Crew, we give our different perspectives on situations – giving other women a safe space to be open, honest, and know that they are not alone in their struggles. We have made a great impact on our listeners already in a short amount of time and are very excited to see what the future holds for Boss Talks WTC!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
For Boss Talks With The Crew, our main struggles have been within ourselves. We’ve had to learn to prioritize what’s important in our lives and how to balance running a business. Separating business from friendship has also been a struggle. We have to remember daily that business is business, it’s nothing personal! For example, when we get on our business calls, we have to remind each other that it’s business talk first, personal talk after.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Shurelle Monet is focused on finding her niche in the Real Estate industry and learning her way around her new home town “Dallas”!
Miss Werking works in Corporate America, but also owns Always Werking – a branding and e-commerce business focused on helping other women start and scale their businesses.
Jay is a nurse by day – mommy by night. She’s focused on expanding her knowledge of the medical field into a business.
Chef Cham is a Hustling Mommy. She’s head chef at a creole restaurant and also has her own catering company. Chef Cham is most known for her goofy personality and amazing seafood dishes.
We all have our own projects that we are working on separately but collectively as sisters we are working on new innovative ways to reach more women who desire more out of life. We want women to understand that their mistakes don’t define them, but that their growth and desire to do better does.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
The Crew doesn’t believe in luck! We believe in working hard to achieve your goals. If something doesn’t happen in our favor or the way we planned, we remind ourselves that it may not be in God’s plan for us or the right timing. We’ve learned that sometimes patience is what we need to get us through.
