Today we’d like to introduce you to Kyra Neff.
Hi Kyra, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
Growing up, I had the most fun playing dress-up in my grandmother’s enormous closet. She was a fashionista, never abiding by rules of fashion or style, adopted her own trends, and embraced the self-confidence to pull off any style by making it her own unique look. My love for fashion began at a very young age as well as the confidence in myself to be an independent, classy lady, looking my best for any occasion, usually over the top they would say to describe me. Women are challenged every day in their looks, style, uniqueness, and self-worth. It is my mission to assist my customers in defining their own style, feeling confident in their own skin, celebrating beauty within, and embracing positive self-care (that includes a shopping spree every so often)!
My roots in the ranching/farming industry instilled a strong work ethic, determination, and resilience. I am ambitious to a fault, always welcoming my next experience or venture. My parents introduced me to life outside of our rural community to grow my knowledge of culture, society, and opportunities. They encouraged belief in myself and the idea that anything is possible. My life is grounded in faith, appreciation, compassion, and love. I left the “big city” sixteen years ago and moved back to the ranch where I opened up a retail business. I began in custom furniture, grew into clothing, and established relationships with lifetime customers. I built my business on two premises…customer service & quality merchandise. I believe in delivering an experience while having fun and sharing in my customers’ joys and hardships. We are definitely a “family.” In essence, I consider myself a personal stylist. At the same time, I promote value and worth in each of my clients! I find what works for them, and it may not be the latest trend, but we collaborate together in building a wardrobe in which they feel comfortable. My reward is to see their smiles and eyes light up when they look in the mirror and feel beautiful.
My sixteen-year journey has led me to lay down new roots in the community of Northlake. I am excited to open my second location in the near future and to share my joy and gifts with the ladies of North Texas. I find city life exhilarating, yet hold true to my appreciation for small-town living. I believe in community, giving back, and being a role model to young ladies with whom I cross paths. I learn and absorb knowledge and inspiration daily from my audience and am grateful for the friendships I have fostered along the way. I am only able to continue this adventure because of my customers who have supported my small business. “You walk in as a customer; you leave as a friend!” I am so ecstatic to offer a fun, shopping experience to a growing area of fashionistas!
My favorite looks… digging deep in one’s closet for that one-of-a-kind showstopper piece & combining with a trendy piece to create a unique look that singles one out in a crowd, we all have those pieces of clothing with special meaning or those which we cannot part…freshen the look with a new stylish jean, a skirt, blazer, accessories; complete with a confident smile! My best inspiration is born from pieces in my closet that are 20+ years new! “You define style, it does not define you!”
Ladies! You are made by special design! There is no one like YOU! You cannot be duplicated and thank goodness! Keep dancing to your own beat. Be the inspiration for others around you. Lift each other up! Share joy & always be kind!
You are Amazingly Beautiful!
All my love, Kyra!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The economy and finances are factors which contribute to the challenges of small business. Maintaining a healthy inventory and providing quality merchandise is a large cost of business, Customers keep my doors open. Without customers, small businesses face great challenges.
Being in business as the single owner and operator can weigh heavily on one’s mind and body. The first eight years of business, I was there every day. Not a vacation, a day off, or even a couple of hours off. I knew for the business to be successful; I was the most important factor. There was no one to supplement any losses or swoop in and save me with any economic turmoil. I am the business. I am persistent and it has paid off greatly. I am truly blessed.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
