Inspiring Conversations with Jasmine Hyder of Jasmine Hyder and Jazzy Fit

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Hyder.

Hi Jasmine, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
So, I started running track when I was 10 competitively when I turned 13. The hurdles were my first love but slowly as the years progressed, I became a very good sprinter. Along with having the opportunity to represent the United States at the world championships in 2011. As I went through my journey, I learned so many things that helped me become an all-American and national champion. Those tips carried me through my professional career and now my day-to-day life. My husband is currently a professional football player for the Seattle Seahawks and he also benefits from my experiences. As I began to search for an outlet, I easily was able to see that fitness and wellness is something that I am passionate about on a wide spectrum. From everyday life to maintaining and obtaining goals. I have realized the importance of the maintenance and learning of what a healthy lifestyle looks like to an individual. So, I become a certified personal trainer. I believe that is nothing short of how you feel mentally and physically. I love helping women find a fitness routine they can stick to and incorporate into their lifestyle.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been an easy road. One struggle when I retired or took what I would call a sabbatical was that I got far removed from those habits that I learned and created over the years while I trained. I really took a break and enjoyed life. I dabbled in drinking, late nights, unhealthy eating habits, and no workout routines. I was clouded mentally and physically my body changed so fast before my eyes. It was actually those very moments that showed me how hard it is and why it is so hard for the everyday person (not a professional athlete) to attack their goals. I’m very happy and grateful for that part of my journey as it helped reveal how I can provide a simple solution and thought process to have a healthy lifestyle.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Jazzy Fit is run by the motto FIND YOUR FIT. My goal is to help women and even men find what works for them. I will do so by sharing my experiences openly and honestly. Sharing what works for me and what has worked for me. I offer programs and equipment along with information from the experts on the hottest debates and dilemmas. Find your Fit gives people the opportunity to create a system that works for them, guilt and stress-free.

It took me a while to come up with this concept and approach to people. I personally had to go through a lot of different things to get to where I am now. I’ve done it all. Starting with training for two Olympic team trials! I’ve tried all the fitness classes. I’ve paid for the best trainers, lost the weight, gained the weight, had the kids and so much more. I can relate to everyone.

I’ve been married for 8 years with 2 kids and I have friends and relationships with so many people who share so much with me about their own lives. The nature of my personality is of a healer so naturally, I am constantly challenged by my friends and family, and self to find simple feasible solutions to our everyday problems. I have the capacity to see far beyond one niche. I believe in everlasting changes and we will never be a certain TYPE of person ever. We have the opportunities to try new things and commit to them. Decide what we like about them or don’t, and change them! The things we can do in a year are miraculous. And each season provides us a lesson and step closer to allowing us to fulfill and find what happiness looks like to us individually.

I honor the difficulties and differences in life. I want to help people to see things from my perspective. A perspective that embodies the motto “what works for others might not work for you!”

The importance to find what works for you is vital in the world of mental health. And our mind is what keeps this world moving. This is why having a place and community that helps you to find what works for you is so important. And Myself, Jasmine Hyder has provided that with Jazzy Fit! Think of Jazz music and all the different sounds and bites that make up a beautiful song. It has elements of improv and commitment and those two elements can be the foundation of a lot of Peoples ways to approach life and their goals.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk-taking?
One of the biggest risks I took was providing a free 3-week program for my followers. It included a meal plan, workout, motivational quotes, along instructional videos. I remember a friend asking me why I provided it for free. I had to evaluate the purpose of my program and mission. This was during covid. So, at the time, I could have maximized off people being home looking for something new and refreshing. It seemed as tho everyone was willing to pay for pretty much any type of outlet to escape the mental jail of quarantine!

I concluded it was not my mission to rob my community and take advantage of an everlasting trend (fitness and healthy living). But to actually provide tools to help build a community of people who actually understand what it means and looks like to maintain a healthy lifestyle. If more people were maintaining we would not have gone through a pandemic of trying to fix. I can honestly say I was floored at the number of people who didn’t know how to function and maintain their health through the start of this pandemic. But that became my ultimate goal! To have a community of people that can function and maintain their health at all times. I will help people see their lives and themselves to be beautiful inside and out despite the ways of the world. When we are functioning correctly in our day to day then our community can function cohesively and positively. I believe that’s how the world thrives!
